We’ve been working long hours every day to get our software perfect and Beta is closing finally, we are doing last security checks as You read this.  Before this happens we want to share with You some of upcoming news.

First of our privacy network clients is RiccoVPN: free software with simple yet powerful features. RiccoVPN will secure Your IP address and all Internet traffic with downloads.

Privacy Protector encrypts all traffic outgoing from Your computer, divides it into small parts and sends it though always different routes. Nobody is able to track it back to You. So none of websites You visit does not record Your real IP address, just several random IP addresses used to download parts of website to Your computer through our privacy network. This will not be visible and You will use Internet like You used to, but for purpose of this demo we made IP addresses used to access our website visible. IP addresses shows up few times on the same site because any bwowser sents out several requests at the same time, second in our test lab we have only few external IP addresses available at this time.

Wall Street Journal investigation has discovered, that “many of the most popular applications, or “apps,” on the social-networking site Facebook Inc. have been transmitting identifying information — in effect, providing access to people’s names and, in some cases, their friends’ names — to dozens of advertising and Internet tracking companies”. About 25 companies gathered Facebook’s user ID and sold this data further to advertisers. Story also on CNET.

This means not only Facebook own privacy policy was violated, but many of other companies as well; like Zynga, maker of FarmVille – a game with over 59 million users base. FB officials said “it is taking steps to “dramatically limit” the exposure of users’ personal information.”

One of those companies making money on our personal information was ReapLeaf, which at first withhold from comment, then apologized after got exposed. They will return the money made of it, sure thing.

RIAA’s 2008 tax return has showed that the industry body spent $17.6 million on legal costs fighting online piracy, but only managed to bring in $391,000 in settlements and damages. And what they spent whooping $17M? Well, some of these:

Entertainment industry wasn’t able to turn back a river with a stick, they will try to do it now with a lash. Their agenda is very clear: “Either way, someone will pay“. Does it seems fair to You?

BSA new study is once again proves how greatly economy is suffering from piracy. What it actually proves is something else: how BSA manipulate numbers to mislead report readers.
